Computer Training in MS Office

Introduction to MS Office
Microsoft Office is a suite of software applications that help people automate the normal work they do in an office, whether that office is at work or at home. The basic functions that users can do in the Microsoft Office suite are word processing (Microsoft Word), spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel), database management (Microsoft Access), presentations (Microsoft PowerPoint) and e-mail (Microsoft Outlook). The applications are easy to learn by yourself, but if you want to maximize the full potential of these sophisticated programs, you can attend a short-duration computer training course in Microsoft Office.

Computer Training for MS Word
In our modern culture, virtually anyone must do word processing. The advantage of MS Word as a word processor is that it offers so many more features, some simple and others quite sophisticated. For this reason, the serious user should consider systematic training to understand the software and all of its vast potential. You should especially try to learn its ability to export and import data from other Microsoft Office software packages; the various formatting options, adding borders and other enhancements; the insertion of tables; and the ability to make geometric shapes through its limited drawing capabilities.

Computer Training for MS PowerPoint
Microsoft PowerPoint training will enable you to use its features to create slides and input material into a template for formatting, editing and presentation. You can present your slides in any sequence that you want. A very important feature is the ability to insert video and audio track into your PowerPoint presentation. This allows you to have truly multimedia presentations for maximum impact. You can use this program for sales presentations, reports to management, stockholders’ meetings, and almost any situation where you have to present to groups and large audiences.

Computer Training in MS Excel
Microsoft Excel is the program which allows you to make your spreadsheets and calculations. If you are ever asked to make financial projections for your company, or make reports of sales for a period, inventories, accounting data, the best program for that is this spreadsheet program. To a limited extent, you can utilize the program as a database program because its features include some data handling capability. The program can also construct graphs of data in your spreadsheet; these are simple line graphs, bar graphs, or pie charts, but they are able to clarify your statistical analysis of data. You should try to get thorough grounding on the program’s sophisticated features, particularly its statistical functions and graph-making capabilities.

Computer training in Microsoft Office should be available to all people. You especially need to be very conversant with the word processing, spreadsheet and presentation programs because, at some point, you will have to perform these functions in the course of work or in the pursuit of business, livelihood, hobbies and other activities.
